Robert Downey Jr's definitive role, what an absolute masterclass of a film this is. It trully is it to me one of the best films of all time.

2:20 beautiful scene. It was amazing because it's true. Two of the greatest minds of their time and Strauss thought that they were bad mouthing him. Really shows how narcissism clouds everything else.

*Spoiler:* Nolan was so careful about initially revealing the legitimate reasons Strauss would have for not taking a liking to Oppenheimer, and RDJ gives such a measured, sympathetic performance that we feel for him with these snubs (one deliberate, most small and unwittingly given) Oppenheimer is dishing out; as the film chugs along, though, we see the more troubling aspects of Strauss's character begin to peak out, and by the end, we witness how his deep narcissism, vindictiveness, and paranoia has allowed what should be a small, personal distaste to completely control him to the point of trying to ruin another man's life. Unlike what would happen today, these personality traits and actions justly deny him a high position in public office. Great stuff.

I really, REALLY hope he wins an Oscar for his role in Oppenheimer, that scene where he just lets out all his anger towards Oppenheimer was beautifully acted and I can see the Academy using it when they name the nominees for Best Supporting Actor and I hope he wins it over Ryan “hejustlikemefr” Gosling.

His' was honestly one of my favourite performances from the movie, besides from Cillian Murphy, the man goes from charming and likeable on the surface to egotistical and vindictive, fuming with anger, just one of those guys who thinks that the universe revolves around them.
