Does Kenny Prefer a Staggered or Square Tire set up on Mustangs

This is a great question and Kenny prefers both. In this tech video, he explains why he uses one setup versus another. On high-powered or supercharged Mustangs you want more tire at the rear, but on a well-balanced car with moderate power the square setup makes sense.

The cost difference is always a concern with staggered wheel and tires, or you can use the same wheel and tire size on all four corners and save some time and cost. In many cases, you'll need more rear tire for traction so always consider that when building your car.

Hey brother, first off I appreciate the information you’re giving on this video just curious for a bolt on coyote stick s197 that plans to get a whipple in the future that’ll mainly used to corner on backroads with the very occasional track outings, for a street setup would you prefer a 19x9.5 up front w/ a 19x10.5 in the rear 285/35/ up front, 305/35 in the rear (9.5&10.5 are the only options for the wheels I plan on getting for the car) or a 19x10.5 on all 4 with a 305/35 on all 4 ? Car will very rarely see the track, it’ll be more of a mountain curvy roads/ backroads type of deal. Thanks again!

The only Gentleman I'll listen about my mustang.
Just took advice on your
19x10 all ■
and investing on some serious tires.
What brand do you recommend for 285/35
Michelin, Bridge etc...
285 aren't cheap but I can see the 50K mile warranty
So I see why..

For RWD, my car’s factory setup is 225/50/18 for front and 245/45/18 for rear.

I have some buddies run square setup with 245/45/18.

If front and rear rims have Different offset, can you still do tire rotation??

For a 3.7L mustang what would be the best rear tires for it’s 300+ hp with mpt tune? 275 or 285?

Got a S550 was thinking of an 18×11 square set up, is this doable in a manner that the tires can be rotated easily?

would you still run 285/35 if the car has lowering springs ?
