Thanks for the awesome video. I replaced my screen watching this video, but my phone is now stuck in the Samsung logo screen and wouldn't move past that point. I believe I have put back all cables appropriately but haven't glued the screen with the motherboard. Could that have affected the boot process? Any help would be much appreciated.

I completely understand your frustration. Keep in mind that this is a $600 phone. AT&T lowers the initial price because they lock you into a 2 year contract at a premium rate. You can buy used devices or "new" devices online for as little as $300, but you never know what you are really getting. This product frustrates us too. It's the hardest to get. It has the highest cost and lowest profit margin. Ultimately we only provide it to help out our customers who look to us for solutions.

I used a big guitar pick and a razor knife to slowly separate the two. I could send you the phone and you’ll be able to tell it has been apart, as the replacement screen did not come with adhesive strips. I just dabbed superglue in three corners to hold it down. The phone works flawlessly.

When you try removing the glass from the LCD, it will break the LCD. So the parts are typically only shipped as a single unit. There are people who sell only the glass, but it's not advisable to attempt this. I haven't heard of anybody successfully replacing only the glass, which is likely why you won't find any repair videos on it.

how difficult is it to replace the top glass / digitizer? I have a used unit with a working lcd but cracked digitizer. They go for 20bucks on ebay.

I really don't want to spend the cash for a new lcd, especially when I don't need one.

is it really that difficult to replace the digitizer with a heat gun?

is it possible if after you remove the digitizer from the lcd, buy a new digitizer, fuse it with the LCD and have a new fully functioning digitizer?

Phonedoctor, I attempted to replace screen and seems I have broken one side of the place you said be careful of pulling away. It is connected on both sides by a gold band. one side of the band is broken. Will the phone be functional without this connection or should I now replace this part??  Please help!

I have the same phone and my cam is not working, it got water damaged i was able to clean it inside out but cam wont come back to lie, I will be very happy if you could make up a video about it
