Have you considered expanding this topic to include end-to-end motor servicing ? Covering things like:
- how to remove 'c' clip
- how to remove bad bearings
- lubricant to use

Last time I looked there appeared to be no videos on this topic anywhere on YT.

Cheers Tony

Putting a prop nut on the top can also help. I was having a hard time pulling my EMAX 2205s motors apart until I added a prop nut to improve my grip on the shaft.

Man I'll tell ya I'm grateful for guys like you in this hobby!!! By using this little tip and some tugging sand pulling on the bell I was able to get the motor apart to clean it. Thank you 👍😊

Hey Josh, there's no way you will answer this question, but maybe you will. Different KV Bell on your motor? For example, with the iFlight xing2 2207 motor, all of the 1855 KV bells are sold out, but the 2755 Bell is in stock. Could I just get the 2755 Bell and throw it on the 1855 motor? I asked because the KV is about the wires, not the magnets, correct? So technically all of the bells are the same as long as they fit the strator?

I was gonna suggest removing the clip and then mount the motor back on your quad and then try to pull the bell off

I have subscribed for along time, but your content is often too technical for me. This episode is actually the one most related to me. I am trying to replace my helicopter's expensive motor with the low cost mass produced quad motor just like the one in your hand. I need to reverse the shift to come out on the opposite side of the bell.

Never had much luck removing or replacing the C clips. Is there a specific tool?
