Let me get this straight. According to the source material the series should take place during decade (or even more), not just some months or one year. Yet the trailer clearly shows that every single time it's winter outside. In Moscow. Winter. All year round. 24/7.

It's been 32 years after USSR collapse (more than a quarter of century, mind you) and 20 years of widespread Internet usage. So it was more than enough time get your homework done on weather in Russia.

I can understand artistic intent of showing earlier USSR in grey tones but that doesn't mean you have to use winter and not to show sunny weather at all. Considering how much movies and shows done the same for the past years I'm clearly gonna skip this one.

What's a black man with dreads doing in Moscow during the 1920s? You could've went on and put a few Bangladeshis there as well.

Похоже американцы думают что в России вечная зима, что не фильм, то зима в Москве.

Okay, I can believe in the black guy during the October coup. But I can't believe he had the ability to travel back in time to visit modern barbershops.
Thus, the film immediately descends to the level of Uwe Boll's films, where there were black medieval knights with fashionable hipster sideburns.

Why now films look like as if they've been made with Pinterest AI pictures?

Keep your hands off the historical periods you don't understand, thank you very much.

01:36 The Kremlin and its surroundings are drawn horribly. The only thing worse was Ridley Scott's Napoleon

Bold move for the filmmakers to insert propaganda into a movie based on a book that was itself critical of propaganda. 😂 Stunning and brave.

I thought it was Kenneth Branagh as Hercule Poirot on the thumbnail.

Чудесные, светлые бриты в жутком, черном мордоре. Лет 400 гадите, и все никак... Но за Уотерса все же спасибо ))

A movie that had to be made from a novel that helped many survive the pandemic with a message: We can choose to be resigned or resilient.

Максимально развесистая клюква 😅
Почему европейцы заботятся о защите чувств меньшинств, он при этом постоянно унижают и оскорбляют советских граждан и коммунистов? Это не справедливо 😢

If I had a dollar for every American movie based on a novel by American or British author about Russian history... well, I wouldn't be rich, but it would still be a lot.

I believe the decision to cast a black actor in a movie set early 20th-century Russia era raises questions about representation and historical accuracy. Casting a black actor in a role within that specific historical context could potentially distort the reality of the period and undermine the experiences of those who lived through it. Any casting decision should prioritize authenticity. From Portugal with love.
