Thank you..so interesting...I think that Elon in his arrogance made this deal in that spirit then had feelings of anticipated buyer's remorse...that doesn't excuse common people from breaking contracts...When you said that if Elon made his bed he has to lie in it seems what should happen...maybe there is something he needs to learn from this...of course we have to look at the evidence and the law...love your content..honestly this content and community boosts my mental health...It is the first thing I look for in the morning when I get off work...thank you...am I member so look forward to the ask me anything...I usually miss the lives due to my schedule but would make sure to make that live...thanks so very much...

I'm not invested in the results of this fight (don't have aTwitter account, don't care for Elon Musk). However, it would be good to have Twitter win as a lesson for Musk. My little grey cells told me, from the beginning, that he had no interest in acquiring Twitter. A business person should have a little taste for gambling, that's what business is. Playing like a kindergardener is a completely different thing. This is my opinion, and I'm unanimous on that!

I just love Azam. I don’t think I can think of one person’s name on super tickers or questions as I do Azam. Every time I see her questions or stickers I just grin ear to ear. She is so dedicated. And you are the very best lawyer in explaining things that even I can understand. Thank you

Thanks again for all the amazing content. Good luck to you & your firm 🙏🏻 I honestly don’t care about either but it’s very interesting 🤔

I can't believe I would find this interesting, but it really is... thanks! Twitter let 30 percent of its recruiting team go, wow. Also, one could hope that this would put some light on the actual number of bots... in case Musk's lawyers would argue the company is based too much on bluff..

I read that he did care about the bots- when it appeared they didn’t reveal actual numbers. Or if they even had the capability to know. I believe this is true.

He's probably pretty busy is an excuse, he has the same obligation to act in a timely manner.

Musk's argument against people leaving the company and the hiring freeze is beyond unreasonable because he caused people to quit/retire in the first place and hiring more people that are just going to leave when he buys the company is pointless. All of his arguments on this point I find to be not just disingenuous but misinformation on purpose. A lot of people do not want to work for the guy that is anti-union/right to repair.

Arguing that he was surprised by bots, argues that he has even an idea of what the number is which ignores everything he says on the issue, it could be 90% or 50 or 25 percent. He argued the number could be 5 or ten times higher then threw out 90% because that sounds logical if it is 90% who wants that company but it is based in no facts and will be proven to be misinformation and lies but he says it anyway because when you talk about extreme you can justify ignorance. None of those numbers are accurately measured by any metric, he has no clue and just used bots as a way to get out of the contract.

This is why I don't think Musk will not be able to appeal the expedited court case successfully as a lot of people think. It was up to his lawyers to make an argument against Twitter with the law and legal precedent and they argued poorly, while Musk continues to spread misinformation on social media. I think if you look at what he is doing you cannot side with him and wait until February. If it wasn't Musk perhaps that would have been appropriate but he cannot help but lash out on social media and his stans are ignorant beyond reason. I mean they defend anti-right to repair and anti-union.

I think the way the recruiting reduction is worded you misunderstood. They are reducing the recruiting pool by 30% not firing all of them leaving 30% fewer employees. Reducing the recruiting pool by 30% is still a lot of reduction, but minor considering they put up a hiring freeze and still retained 60 plus percent of recruitment. More than reasonable and again signed off by Musk, which he continues to not mention when making arguments.

Musk is a very smart man, but he will find out once again. Court is not the arena of public opinion and you have to provide facts to back up your anecdotes and memes. Just like how he failed to make his case to the SEC and argues he was railroaded because he ignored the law and had to pay the consequences.

I agree with the theory that Musk did this deliberately to ensure that Twitter and co's info could be accessed and exposed through their legal action against Musk - while he's a genius, his choices, in relation to seeking out women to have his children, cause chills and concern about his future plans...

Hmm. What pen did you get? Was it a fountain pen? Do you fill from a bottle? If so I recommend either a Noodler's "Document Quality" ink or a DeAtremis ink.
Just be careful, some people go crazy, with pen hauls or ink hauls etc.

Arguing that you buyers debt financing does not require detailed financial information is a bit beside the point. The buyer has to do their due diligence in order to approve the deal but it looks like Twitter is not playing ball. This is going to be an interesting argument in court. What Twitter don't seem to appreciate is it is already destroying their value.

I'd like to hear what their suppliers and business partners say about working with Elon and his companies. In my personal experience everything Twitter is saying is true. He's incredibly difficult to work with and unprofessional about it. I despise Twitter and want to see that platform fail but Elon deserves what's coming. Just because he's rich and famous doesn't mean he can't follow the rules like everyone else

I think Elon does nothing without an alterior motive. It’s always money driven when dealing with millionaires or billionaires. It would be my guess that by picking apart the company as he is looking for a way to pay less for this company. He knew that they had bots and knew what strings to pull to get this report out to the media to make it look like Twitter has more issues than most. He wanted to expose Twitter’s base plans. What is Negotiation 101? get all info you can, make offer, then they counter, u pick apart the company, then becomes a fight for an agreement. He will probably pay a lower penalty to get out of this or Twitter will agree to a lower price. He will stand to make even more when the stock market rebounds. You explain the law in a way that is very understandable. It’s fascinating to breakdown all the points of interest for understanding. Appreciate you taking time to start a channel that covers all these interesting cases. You are easily understood. 😎

Why does his court filing have so much casual language…”hell or high water”…”bent over backwards” etc. IMO it diminishes the professionalism of this filing

I don’t mind Musk, I think he just freaked about the number of bots.🤷‍♀️ They are a pain.

The timing of... (a) EM looking to buy Twitter and the codes of bots used to push a trend, blaming his poker player friend who advised him of this purchase, and (b) AH's PR team going beyond the normal use of twitter trends but utilization of bots by codes for the past month, increasingly aggressive toward youtubers who covered the trial with commentaries unfavorable to her... are tad bizarre

My basic starting place on this one is that I don't like Twitter, and I kind of like Elon. (At least, I like that he does wacky things with his billions, instead of boring things. And I like that he doesn't just say the things he's 'supposed' to say, like so many do.) At the same time... I kind of assume Twitter has the legal leg up here. Elon blustered his way into this, and signed a contract. I haven't heard anything yet that makes it sound like he shouldn't be legally accountable to the terms of the contract.

I'd love to be persuaded otherwise! But... I think the guy in 'my' corner done goofed here. Sorry and I hope he bounces back. I don't mind him being the richest guy out there, if someone has to be. But just because I want that outcome, doesn't mean I think due process shouldn't apply to him even if it works against that outcome.

I’ll probably get slammed for this but oh well. Musk is a brilliant engineer, but his reputation and behaviour in the corporate world has been less than stellar. He’s often in trouble with company boards and shareholders. To the point of being fired (I think it was from PayPal? Don’t remember exactly). The time he tweeted Tesla would accept BitCoin, then backed out. Another time he tweeted that Tesla or SpaceX shares would be selling for $4.20…because he was high.
He’s never had much respect for the governing bodies of business and trade, nor the legalities. It’s made him fascinating to watch but we forget that people’s savings and workers lives are affected by his changing whims. It was only a matter of time before he bit off more than he can chew. It’s a shame because if he focused on what he’s good at, he’s a brilliant mind. If he wants to change the way business is run and governed, that’s great too but this ain’t it.
