3D section in Vray for Rhino

Creating 3D section in Vray for Rhino has never been easier thanks to the integration of Vray Clipper with Add Clipping Plane command from Rhino. Vray Clipper allows us to set a certain material for our section cut.

In addition to that, we can add multiple section cuts at the same time with different “cut color”. This way you’ll be able to show your projects in a very interesting way using a full rendered image with section cuts applied to it.

In case you'd like to see the full extended version of this tutorial including the process of applying material setup, lighting setup and creating custom 3D geometry cuts for your project, you can watch that extended version of the tutorial on our Patreon page where you will also get other extended tutorials with project files.

Great time-saver! however, it doesn't work when a material has "contour" applied to it. It messes up everything.
