If Gaijan were to add the hornet they would be able to test the FPA seekerhead for aim-9x’s in the form of the AIM-9R without the threat of thrust vectoring. But warthunder players seem to just, ignore certain variants if they aren’t famous

The f15c and f16c both carried the 9x and the neutered f16a carried the 9ms toward the end of its life. The f15c had to have an upgraded tail to carry the 9x however bc anytime they tested it with the 9x the tail would disintegrate

AIM-9X was a direct response to the R-73 when the US got their hands on the R-73 That's when the development of the AIK-9X started

AIM-9X us is used by USA, GB, Poland, South Korea, Switzerland.

actually a lot of NATO nations dropped the AIM 9 when more modern alternative were produced in europe, so we won't see the 9X be deployed on anything but the americans planes. Every other nations in war thunder got their own modern IR missiles. MICA, ASRAAM, IRIS T, Python 5, AAM 5 are all deployed on every nations present in war thunder.

Basically Imaging system is very likely unflareable after it locks the target
Mat you may do some research on stinger Fim92 whatever model I forget
The Stinger on Ozelot is exactly using 4th Gen of IR-seeking technology (AKA IIR)
Basically, if the Stinger on Ozelot locked on the target
Either hit or simply it can't go over the high G-turn
but there is a way to stop it from locking
Preflaring, breaking the pattern received current on the CMOS sensor.
Im not sure is it a CMOS I only know CMOS is used in Astrophotogy

aim9x would be one of the hardest IR missiles to dodge and also can basically fire at enemies behind the i dont think its time
