I like coming here and learning subtle new things which I can integrate in my own prepping point of view. Thank you for sharing all this information.

Yes, although I’m diabetic, amongst my buckets of food is a dessert bucket. I can’t, obviously, graze on sugar all the time but, I don’t want to entirely be absent in sugared items, as I just may want a bite or may even need it as a barter item.

Same for honey. I just finished buying honey and moved it to Snapple-like glass jars for long term storage. It is sweet, does not expire, has antibacterial and, I think, medicinal uses and can also be used as a barter item.

I also have sugar but, as a barter item and, for me, monk fruit sweetener.

After you freeze grains/beans....how long before you bag/store them longterm after they’ve come out of the freezer? Are they ”wet” at all when you take them out of the freezer?

The first one is very funny and true, i realized when i started to buy Things for our prepper pantry how i wanted to buy Things we never eat. I am a picky eater and i really dont like beans at all, so i dont know why i think i must have Tons of beans in an emergency Situation 🤔😁

Has anyone used dry ice to remove O2 from your 5 gallon buckets? Basically fill the bucket with corn or whatever, set a pice is dry ice on the top. As the frozen CO2 sublimates the heavier then air CO2 gas displaces the ambient air in the bucket. When there is a tiny piece left seal the bucket.

Nice video. You should do a tattoo reveal video unless those are prepper gang tattoos of course (we don't wanna start any beef) lol. I have all freeze dried preps, I'm one of the people who went with all freeze dried from the start. But now I'm getting into gardening and stuff so that will help, but I was thinking some rice & beans and typical staples that everyone usually starts out buying might be a good thing to look at now? What do you guys think?

What we learned to do, thanks to Travis, is take small mylar bags and fill them almost full, seal them 3/4 of the way and drop an oxygen absorber in and finish sealing the bag, then put in a 2 1/2 gallon food grade bucket with a sealed lid, we added small bottles of different spices to each bucket. So far we have brown beans, white rice and wheat seeds sealed up that way, the wheat seeds can be ground and used as flour or planted to grow more wheat. Very informative video, thanks Kim, keep up the good work!

Having many sauces or create a base that many can be made from that. Example. I have Bbq sauce. It's my favorite condiment. If i run out I have ketchup as a base and go from there.

Wow so nice to see someone in my area. I live in Mansfield, right out of Fort Smith.. I go to Ato Z all the time and get great deals. I don't stock much beans because my husband hates them..

I would really like to use more beans in our everyday meals now because it's cheaper than meat. Can you do a recipe list please?

Hi! Like your video but do have afew comments. Mylar bags are good however rodents will chew thru them and your food will be ruin. I like to oven can all my dry goods in Mason jars. Jars are cleaner and reusable mylar not also no oxygen absorbers needed. So please check out oven canning and hope you'll find what's best for you. Have A Great Prepping!
