5:30 SO by their interpretation and logic, if purchasing a firearm is not covered by the plain text then it is perfectly legal to build your own firearm so that one may keep and bear arms.

Plain text of the second amendment states "for the necessity of a well-regulated militia". Imposing a waiting period on the acquisition of firearms would inharently prevent the establishment of a well regulated militia.
