A minor outbreak of a plague like disease occurred in Surat, Gujarat, in the western part of India in 1994. However, it did not spread beyond Gujarat province. It was pneumonic type and not bubonic, the classic plague associated with outbreaks. I may be one of the few people alive who has seen an actual case of plague, as I was a post graduate medical student at that time, and cared for a patient.

Seeing human body as the most complex thing in the universe, but in other hand it is so fragile and can be destroyed easily by small simple creatures, it is so mind boggling.

Doctors are of vital importance in human civilization . People do not see these doctors and medical researchers important. But when a pandemic strikes they are very valuable.
