This is so cute! I just started knitting and it’s SO hard to find cute knitting tutorials, everything is crochet. Would love to see more!

Love the tutorial! As someone who loves knitting and Buffy this really spoke to my heart lmao. Did want to mention tho for anyone who wanted to make this a quick note. For the last row of the key hole when you are connecting the two sides, she didn’t mention it but you will want to add more increases in order to get back to the original number of stitches. This counts as adding back the original cast off. So if you cast off two, add two more. Same with three. Again, love this top and am almost done making it, thank you for the awesome tutorial!! 💞💞

Something that helps when knitting a gauge swatch (or tension square, as you said) is to either do 1x1 rib (knit, purl, repeat) or garter stitch (knitting on every row, even the wrong side) for a few rows before and after doing the stockinette, or other required, stitch. You can also do it on the sides by knitting the first and last 2-4 stitches on both the wrong and right side, so even if you're supposed to purl that row. That just makes it a little easier to see your stitch and row count, and helps the swatch lay flat and not curl. It's also a technique used for sweaters (usually ribbing the hems) to prevent it to roll upwards during usage :)

amazing top! It's a must make for this fall 🤩 Quick question, do you think this top would work well in cotton yarn?
Thank you for such a bad-ass pattern 💗

I’m a newbie so this might be a stupid question but can this be done with regular straight needles? because I don’t have circular needles😢

The join u used is very common not weired at all, it's called the invisible join.
Course there're other ways to also do so 💓
