Grease: Danny and Sandy’s reunion

Rizzo (Stockard Channing) arranged a surprise meeting between Danny (John Travolta), leader of the T birds and Sandy (Olivia Newton-John). The two are happy to see each other but when Danny realises that they are being watched he changes his attitude, disappointing Sandy.

Can we all just praise Frenchy for being such a good friend to Sandy after Danny acted like a jerk, even though he didn't mean to, she even wiped her tears away and invited her to the sleepover. Not to mention the friendship in real life between Olivia and Didi Conn (who played Frenchy) but R.I.P Olivia Newton-John; It's been a week since you passed, and we still miss you every day.

That look Danny gives to Rizzo at the end, and her grin in return said more that words could. He couldn't keep up the charade any longer and Rizzo knew it. It's absolutely *chef's kiss*. These details are what elevates this film to legendary status.

He got peer pressure by his friends. The way he acted when he first saw Sandy and then changed when his friend came up on him..poor Danny.

Danny was happy to see Sandy again, but he was pressured - especially by Kenickie - to "act cool!" It was horrible, but at least at the Frosty Palace, Danny tried to explain himself!

Mixed feelings on this scene. On one hand I think it was really shitty for Rizzo and the girls to put Sandy in that position, knowing full well what the outcome would be. I saw that Frenchy was reserved about doing that and she was there to support Sandy. On the other hand it was up to Danny to be who really was and not give into his cool guy image to impress his T Bird pals at Sandys expense.
