Being the 8th generation of 911 the porsche 992 carrera 4s is an incredible car! I took delivery of my 992 C4S on Oct. 15, and in 4-1/2 months have put 6, 000+ (s)miles on it. All wheel steering, PASM, upgraded lights, premium pkg, sport exhaust, guards red w/tach and sport Chrono red, as are the seat belts, etc., etc. I have driven it in sunshine, POURING rain, snow and ice, w/dedicated winter tires. Not much to complain about, trust me. I love the new PDK, faster than stink in shifting. I could not be happier with the car. And great post, Stef! Ciao!

Once upon a time, my garage in Seattle, Washington was graced by BOTH a 2004 Carrera 4S and a 1964 356 Cabriolet. 40 years of Porsche perfection! Alas, I found myself driving the C4S way too fast on Washington and Oregon rural roads, and sold it after 7 years, Bur, oh my, what a magnificent machine it was.

The 911 is my dream car too. Goes back to when I was young and my dads boss used a 911 as a rally car around the south coast. Been hooked on them ever since. Nice one ☝️

Even though they've gone to the 3 litre TT flat-6, the sound and the performance is still there, and it is a great car as well

Porsche actually quote a 0 to 60 time of 3.6 seconds on their UK webpage. So imagine what the new 992, 911 Turbo S is going to be like when that behemoth takes to the roads :-))...
I shall have to head to Caffeine and Machine as it's not to far from where I live. :-))...

"It handles like it's on rails". Proceeds to lose the arse end coming off a roundabout. I've done EXACTLY that myself in my 992 4S - Came off a roundabout onto a dual carriageway and gave it the beans when it was a bit wet and it wriggled and squirmed like mad until it hooked up. Stupid by me, but that Flat Six just makes you want to do make a racket and feel the kick in your back.

I completely agree with you. Considering the 992 4S is a powerful and very reactive sports car, the overall comfort is 😂very decent indeed. I spent half a day driving this same model and enjoyed every minute of it 😎

Great review!!For me the 911 is the car absolutly, simply perfect….I love the sound of the engine when you  downshift and the motor revs!typical 911!!
