Bottom of the drops with pretty straight down arms vs front of the drops with L shaped arms? Head up / Head down? Shoe covers? Helmet cover? Bald head? Loosing/gaining 10kg? Narrower handlebars? Spacers?

Could you look at internal vs external cables? Imagine you'd have to use the same Fran but zip tie them to the outside when not using internal routes.

Hi, I just bought a pair of the S-WORKS AERO FLY handlebars and was wondering what the difference time difference between the 40/42/44cm bars and what the most aero way to have them angled is? For example having the leading edge 6 degrees above the trailing edge vs a 0 degree change in leading and trailing edge? I would recommend doing the test on a track bike that what you can remove any variables that would come with shifter/brake placement.

You should test different body positions used specifically for road races/criteriums, such as hands on the drops, tops, hoods, in aero bar position without aero bars (forearms on the tops), etc.

I am new to racing so am wondering about things that most take for granted. The aero situation that I am wondering about is that point at the start of the sprint when I am already at, say, 35kph and everyone continues to hold the drops but comes up off the seat to sprint. Sort of butt up position. How much difference does butt up with hands on drops to butt up with hands on hoods make at, say, 35-40kph?  Great vids. Thanks.

Have you guys tested riding on your hoods compared to riding on the drops if your body position doesn't change? only difference is your arms being bent on the hoods and straighter on the drops. Body doesn't move. still trying to maintain an aero position

Hey Chris, what about a clean bike vs. dirty? Have you done that yet? Does a clean bike go faster? I once saw that race cars are faster when clean.

At 2:03 10% aero drag but at 2:07 25% ? Anyway with 6% still good speed formore than 25% of aero drag.

Surprised to know that speed on flats doesn't affect aero saving in terms of percentage. I've always thought that aero saving is exponential as speed picks up starting from 30kph.

Great info.   Do you take into account that the 20k/h rider is on the course significantly longer than the 50k/h rider.   Seems the advantage in real life may be more for the slower rider.

Id love to know how they calculate these numbers in the tunnel especially since there doesn't seem to be any accelerometers or force gauges attached to the bike/cyclist (well none that are obvious anyway)
