Wolfgang SiO2 Paint Sealant vs. Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax - The best liquid waxes?

Are ceramic liquid waxes like Wolfgang SiO2 Paint Sealant and Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax better than their old school versions? Liquid polymer waxes are a staple in the automotive detailing industry and are often used by auto enthusiasts. Today we find out if ceramic infusion makes them better. In my prior tests I really liked products such as Wolfgang Deep Gloss 3, will the new SiO2 sealant beat it? Will these waxes provide coating like protection? Our testing will include gloss meter readings, slickness, visual appeal, durability and ease of application.

SO glad i found your website and really appreciate the way you go about doing your review videos. After watching i decided to try the Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax. I went to Walmart to find it was not in the normal car care aisle but found it in the clearance section and ended up getting the product for $7.50 per bottle!

Thankyou very much, very interesting and a great test.
It seems there is a compromise with the Wolfgang's, they opted for looks and sickness at the expense of durability. I've found this with waxes and sealants I've used.
Also some waxes (particularly oily ones) that are easy to apply don't last that long.

it would be super cool to see a detail spray shootout. i’m super interested to see how adams graphene detail spray works alone. maybe put it up against megs HCD, the turtle wax ceramic detail spray and others along that line to see if they actually have any of that si02 or graphene in it. anyways good test like always. good to see someone that tests products so in depth. as a detailer myself, all of this is very good information. it was because of you that i picked up that adams graphene spray and i could not be happier with its performance!

I have used Wolfgang's Deep Gloss Sealant for the past four or so years and still think its great. The car I use it on, is now parked outside and occasionally covered by a car cover. I took a trip through the rain this weekend and even though I haven't applied more Wolfgang's for at least 10 months, water is till beading perfectly. I still have plenty left, but seeing as you are rating their SiO2 slightly higher, do you see any reason going with the SiO2 if the Deep Gloss working so well for me? Also, its my "beater, " so I am mostly interested in protection than "amazing gloss." My new car gets more of the love, now, and have been getting great results from Meguiar's Xpress Spray Wax on top of my ceramic coating.
