Ripclaw also reminds me of Lady Yuriko another inspired by Wolverine. It’s funny how popular he became out of the Cyberforce just like Wolverine with the X-men.

My friend Jessica once described Grifter as Gambit in a Deadpool mask.

I don't think the Wildcats are considered a "Rip Lee's artwork and designs literally helped X-Men in the mainstream...once Jim Lee stopped drawing 4 Marvel fans wanted more of his art and sought to go to Image...big difference

Wildcats were an awesome team. Amazing artwork & I enjoyed reading the comic.

If I remember correctly, Cyberforce was originally planned as a future version of X-Force but was then not adopted by Marvel when Marc Silvestri was writing for Marvel.
Actually, he just wanted to keep his idea alive

Grifter was one of my favorite designs when Jim Lee first introduced him. That mask is iconic.

Grifter looks more like Maverick than Gambit

I always loved the Deathstroke/Deadpool thing in Titans go where there all like 'your that Deadpool guy' and he gets really annoyed.
I remember the 80's every team had the following, an Energy Guy, a Claw Guy, a Big Guy and a hot girl.
Wasn't Cyberforce originally a rejected X-men 2099 design?
Weren't the X-men themselves heavily 'borrowed' from Doom Patrol..

Why not mention the thumbnail character for Sabertooth that you have the image for?

I'm kind of dying laughing at the Grifter/Gambit connection "Questionable background, thief with heart of gold, and throws things." Does that mean Lee Christmas of the Expendables is a Gambit Knockoff too?

I never knew that about The Doom Patrol thanks for that fact. I was wondering whose WarWolf?

As I've seen others mention here, Jim Lee for instance, did X-team art then went on to create his own "mutant" team for Image/Wildstorm. The iconic early 90s comics suits that everyone associates when they hear "X-Men" went on to be the ones they wore in the classic animated series we watched religiously every Saturday morning and were Lee's designs. Once he went on to create his own original characters, well...

Actually like Ripclaw...still have a poster of him signed by Marc.
That pic of him on that cover is still awesome.

Grifter's one of Image[Wildstorm]/DC's most popular of the Wildcats. So much so, he's survived Wildstorm's purchase by DC, along w/characters like Mr Majestic Zealot & others

Cool 😎 list Amazing 🤩 Amanda, one that I’m sure will get you a lot of arguments…I want to flip the switch a little & say IMO Chris Claremont’s All New X-Men International diversity was inspired by Gene Roddenberry’s OG Star Trek …Staying Nerdy, Keep Up The Great Work Amanda 🖖🏾
