here we look at a few examples based on pushing forward or pulling back a metric which is curved or flat onto a set which you might think is otherwise shaped. We have curved planes, the flat torus, a weird hyperbolic disk and weirder still the curved projective plane. Enjoy. This is based on Section 7.2 of O'neill.
