How to Prepare for a Foster Dog

As you guys know, my new foster dog Jazz has come to live with me. In this video, I share the process that I went through to prepare for her arrival! I go over the steps before she arrived, and in the first week of her being here.

First, thank you for this very helpful video. I recently signed up with my local ASPCA to foster a dog and I've been doing a lot of research.

However, the old "alpha wolf" idea is actually false (based on an old book that the author actually recanted on after more research). Wolves operate like families, not a strict hierarchy. This goes a lot farther in explaining dogs' relationships with humans, as they so easily and happily become another member of our (mostly) human families.
