“Both single life and married life can be hard.” Good to remember during times I’m tempted to think that a relationship will solve my problems.

I remember years of waiting to find my wife Molly. I was 28 years old before we met. I dated a lot but I never had a long term girlfriend before her. I'm glad God made me wait because I wouldn't have been ready for her if I had met her before that time. Because I had to wait so long, I was ready when I met her and we didn't have much drama cause I was matured.

My biggest struggle during my single years has been watching everyone around me get engaged, married and start families while it’s something I deeply desire and it hasn’t yet happened for me. I’m 22 and have never been in a serious relationship. Even though at times it gets hard, I think about all of the great things I’m able to do during this season like travel, going to new cities and meeting lots of new people. I am active in church and recently was baptized just a week ago. Sometimes when we have relationships, it causes us to steer our attention so I’m happy I’m able to fully be focused and devoted to God during this time. Watching this channel has also inspired me to keep God at the center even when I meet that person.❤️

Love this! I watch a lot of The Porch sermons, and Pastor once said, "Don't lower your standards, but lengthen your patience." God is doing such wonderful things!!!

Something I've struggled with in my singleness is the desire for intimacy with my future husband, to have a daily prayer partner in my husband and to start having and adopting children. But I need to not let those things become idols because anything that you want before you want Christ is an idol. And the beautiful thing is that Christ is our husband; as we the church are married to Him and is His bride. Remembering this and understanding what that means in context has been a learning process that has truly aided in alleviating the above desires I named. It is a daily process, BUT His mercies are new every morning.

Singleness... "a great time to learn discipline and self-control." 12 years ago I was engaged but it did not end up working out. Since then I have been on a handful of dates and one 3 month long "relationship" 8 years ago that was 2 months and 2 weeks online and then 2 weeks in person. Besides those 2 weeks... in the last 12 years I haven't kissed a woman, held hands with a woman, romantically embraced a woman, felt any kind of endearing touch from a woman. And for the last 5 years I've worked second shift hours (4pm to 12:30am) Which means there are no singles Bible study groups I can be apart of. So from vantage point it is likely I have many more single years ahead of me. Good news is I still have hope that I will one day conquer my physical body, and my desire for physical intimacy with a woman. To finally learn discipline and self-control and not let my physical desires trip me up every 2 to 3 months.
Thank you for the video, cheers and God Bless! 😄

Just wanted to say, thank you for this message. I am at a point in my singleness where I want to know who I am in Christ and what He has called me to do. Sometimes I struggle with loneliness, because I was always in a relationship, prior to being saved, but as much as I want to be married, I truly desire to know God more intimately. Blessings to you both ❤

Thank you so much!! Being single means that I could be completely devoted to serve GOD. When we usually worry about being single forever, we didn’t realise that this is the season GOD wants us to focus on him and grow into the person that he want us to be. It’s the season of preparation and growth, Even when we wait, GOD wants us to WAIT WELL. Thank you again Ronnie and MEL!!

Recently, I had this random thought pop in my head, and it was “Pursue your relationship with God, before you get in a relationship with a man”. That was definitely God speaking to me, and I have been digging deeper in my relationship with God, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. 2020 is gonna be a good year ❤️
