This is the *ONLY* video on YouTube that discusses creating a temporary solution from the ground up! Everyone always stages these videos like a showroom and completely disregards what it's like to live with.

Pro tip (from personal experience): Use an under-desk mount for the computer if you don't intend to have it sitting on your desktop. Same for anything that needs to plug into the computer (e.g. a subwoofer). This way, the only cable I have going down and away from the desktop/computer is the power cable to the wall.

I'd advocate for anyone to adapt from the included monitor leg to a desk-mounted arm
So much more space on the desk and, in my opinion, loads more aesthetic
Some can be wobbly, but some are even wobblier on their own legs

As long as your PC is on the floor you cant have an elegant cable management solution for your standing desk, especially with multiple monitors. I resolved it by having a mini ITX pc on my desk so the only cable you need coming down from your desk is the power cable (and ethernet optionally, but I just zip-tied it to the power cable so it looks line a single cable). Biggest benefit of this approach is that your don't put any stress on your cables (besides the power cable) so there is no worries of things getting worn out or unplugging due to the table moving up and down.

Perfect timing. I just built my first sit stand desk a few hours ago. Lots of good suggestions here.

I got a 10 outlet workbench powerstrip from a bigbox home improvement store. The putlets are spaced a few inches apart to allow bulky plugs to not interfere with each other. It also has a 4' cord so it works well with my sit/stand desk.

I then added a little wire rack to hold power bricks and my network switch.

At some point, a company will sell a motorized standing desk with a PC caddy and lift to raise and lower the PC with the desktop, and avoid ugly solutions.

I just bought my first sit stand desk earlier this week, so I'll be using these tips as soon as it arrives.

I'd love to see a cable management video where a UPS is involved. I've seen a lot of cable managment videos and all of them try to stuff a surge protector somewhere to power everything nicely, but they never go over how to cable manage when a UPS is involved. Ever since using a UPS I don't think I could go back to not having one. The peace of mind and practicallity of never losing data or progress in a game due to a 1 second brownout or a blackout is inmessurable. Thanks

Gross $2, 199?? The SecretLab Magnus Pro sit/stand desk is half the cost and is more premium. All the cable management is magnetic.

Where did you get your chair and do they have more colors?

With this desk and computer I'd definitely suggest getting a UPS for your system. $60-100 can save a couple grand in gear. Great start to finish job of what to expect if you're looking to buy one.

Perfect! I always struggle with creating cable management that doesn't bite me in the ass when I want to unplug something.

I started labeling my cables two years ago when I did my first setup. Those tags are life savers! Just ordered a new desk and a bunch of accessories, and I will be redoing my setup and cable management next week. I have a new cable management idea I want to try out 😁

That Isaac Clarke health meter looking flex conduit has me even more hyped for Callisto Protocol, once the stuttering is fixed for good.
