I have an 03 Toyota Corolla and this baby has never let me down, she runs on pure hopes and dreams

Devastating update: She was rear ended today, after over 2 decades of service. I am ok but I’m afraid she isn’t going to make it. It was an honor

POV you treat your Toyota like it’s a German car and have over 550000 miles with no major issues

That's exactly what makes Japanese Cars unique and stand out. The engineers and designers are disciplined and creative enough to counteract issues and scenarios.

While US Cars are always just about who has the biggest and loudest engine

American car manufacturers: Our cars will break down no matter how well the customers maintain them.

Was a diehard ford man. Got a lemon, got no help. Been driving Toyotas ever since. Have 208, 000 miles on my Tacoma and it drives like it is brand new.

My grandparents bought a 1994 Mitsubishi lancer for their silver anniversary, my mum drove it, and now I drive it, AND I taught my younger brother how to drive stick shift with it. That's 3 generations in my family from our beloved maroon sedan!

After 30 years and 300k kms its still a smooth ride.

I have a 1996 Toyota Camry with over 200, 000 miles on it and the engine light has been on for a long time, but it runs smoothly without any issues.

'01 Camry was my first car, had about 125k miles when I got it. Beat the fuck out of it to 200k for about a decade. I never heard Toyotas last, I learned Toyotas last.

We had over 500, 000 Mi on a 1995 Toyota Celica. Everyone in our family had that car at one time. Damn good car

100% my mother was driving on vacation a few hundred miles away (honda CR-V 2014) when she slowly noticed the car starting running rougher and rougher as the weeks went on, made an emergency stop and turns out she had no oil in it for weeks, possibly months and the man was baffled that she even got to him. He literally said it was a miracle. Even the most basic Hondas are phenomenal cars

My 2000 Toyota Echo has 675, 000 miles on it. It's got some rust and the paint is faded, but she still runs!

Japanese culture has strict morals, and exceptional quality is one of them. When the western corporations wanted them to produce goods with less than ideal quality, the Japanese refused.

dude the mercedes diesel engines never die.. My friend is using an e220 2013 model. Has done 700, 000 plus km and still working fine. That is why they are widely used as taxis all over europe. You are right.. When maintained right, even a mercedes won’t die.
