@K0S0s Nice to meet you kyle! I go to the gliderport just about every weekend Ive just been busy the past two finishing my college applications. I soloed after 46 total flights. Ive only been flying at TSA since July. I did have 21 flights in a Civil Air Patrol's L-23 Super Blanik a year before joining TSA.

Its a variometer. Apart from being on the ground every time you hear it beep the glider is gaining energy from a thermal or rising air. So if it is beeping we are most likely going up in altitude.

Yes, They have a youth program that i believe can accept people as young as 12 look up TSA Gliderport on google and contact the youth coordinator, and he will put you on a waiting list. I'm sure you could do it. You can fly solo at 14
