In this video I will be talking about some of the key differences between investing in a US total stock market etf compared to a S&P 500 etf, and which may have an edge over the other. I will also be including my top picks for ETFS representing both the total market and S&P 500 for those interested.

As always, this video is for educational purposes and is not an official endorsement to buy any of the mentioned securities. Historical performance does not guarantee future performance, and as such investing in the stock market will have risks associated with it. Always do your due diligence before deciding to purchase any type of stock or etf.

I use S&P 500 as my main holding in my 401K, I think it’s the best long term investment personally. I’d probably choose a total market fund if I had an option but instead I include small and mid cap exposure to compensate
