Just fixed this. Restart your phone. If it doesn't work. Turn it off and remove then reinstall the sim card. If that doesn't work type" sim card "in settings and select sim card. Turn off your service provider. In my care Verizon. Turn it back on and restart again. That should fix it

Okay so for those like me that looked this up due to the update coming late Sept to early Oct 2024, let me explain what I did to help with this.

If your phone is connected to your PC is some way (mine is through Phone Link), then try sending a message through your computer to someone first, it took a whole minute to send, but then all of a sudden once that text was sent, all of my texts were okay.

Trash! If any of Ya'll are having this issue, open up your carrier app (tmobile, Verizon, AT&T, etc), log in if you aren't, and then try messages again. Why does this work? I dunno, but it did for me and many others.
