My robust decision is to use this lens all the time with go pro. I don't see the difference in the quality of video 2.7k and 4k, but the stabilization, horizon level and wide angle are obviously significant advantages for me. Additionally, 4k discharges a battery faster than 2, 7k video, and it fills the memory card faster, so it is a a benefit with max lens as well. Sorry for my English )

Pro tip: leave the front silicone cover on the Max Lens Mod when putting it on the camera to avoid getting grease from your hands on the lens.

Nice video. You can still get a 360 horizon lock, even without the max lens. Just enable the max lens mode option and the software will take care of it.

No nd filter on max mod lens is the bigger cons for me

The Horizon Lock feature works also without the lens mod.
Just turn on the max lens mode with the standard lens on, switch to linear 1440p 60fps and enjoy.

The 2.7k does look a lot better upscaled to 4k than I would have expected. I wonder how it does at 5K, have you guys tried that? Also, the stash just keeps getting better... next step full beard?

Being that the Max is so wide, have you noticed more fisheye in your footage compared to shooting with superview or wide?
