FYI this is taekwondo, a kicking style of karate. It's fairly easy to tell cause 1. He most only used kicks and his punches were poor at best 2. His arms would pull back when doing a big move and it's really easy to predict when you know what you're looking for.

I was the part of system with nine steps. For every step you must to pass kyu-exam (exam of nine). There was the next gradation: ⚪🟠🔵🟡🟢🔴🟤⚫ and "duns" of black. Between every step there was belt with a stripe of the next belt color

The yellow belt seems the most practical as it's not flashy as all those spins can give the opposition time to hit and with yellow belt it's quick and snappy.
