Nice to spread the knowledge! This could just be the clip I saw, but its important to heat the work and apply the solder to that rather then melting it directly on the solder tip. It ensures that the piece is hot enough to bond and the hot solder should melt and run towards the hot tip. Thanks Dylan!

I'm a furniture maker, trying my hand at guitar building... Fretboard scales and wiring are my weaknesses. Your videos help a lot. 🙌🏻

Nice solder connection. Good to show folks how easy a solder connection is to make.

I can't stands when I see new instruments with a ball of solder barely holding the connection and you can pop the solder off the connection with a fingernail.

would be nice if it were that simple. my pbass has one black wire with thin wire strands on the inside

Which wire is positive/negative? I got an after market pickup and pot and the wires are white and black, but in a weird order.

I have a Barcus Perry violin that has the same problem. When I touch the input jack, the ground sound disappears. What should I do? By the way, it has tired me out. The violin is wooden and only has a pickup, volume, and input jack.

Does the wire need to touch the iron or is the tin enough to connect

So the closest one to the sleeve is the ground terminal and the outer part is the hot terminal
