The offense got hot in the 2nd-inning with Yuli Gurriel hitting an RBI single followed by an RBI double from Kyle Isbel to go up 2-0. Salvador Perez capped off the 6-run inning with a 2-run shot to mark his 27th homer of the year. The fact that we're guaranteed to be above .500 no matter what after losing 100+ last season is awesome. Lets keep winning and show how we play baseball

I was very impressed with Marsh. It would be great to see him take on an "X- factor" role starting about now. He should not be considered the weak link in the starters anymore it seems.

Renfro has a strong arm but he's not that accurate with it. I played outfield (right field as a lefty) for most of my games, and I know it sounds stupid to say of myself, but I could throw nine out of ten to third base without making the third baseman move more than two feet to catch it. I don't understand these throws that are fifteen feet offline except that they are pushed awry by adrenaline. You can't overthrow. Come over the top so you don't put spin on the ball and let it flow from you to the target. You must focus on the place that you want the ball to land and not be influenced by things like where the runner is, etc. I also pitched because I was a lefty with a sidearm delivery that scared a few people, but the thing I loved most was throwing someone out on the bases. (I once threw out a guy at first heh}. Just reminiscing after fifty years of things that were. sorry for all of this.

As much as I like seeing this. I worry about the bullpen in the post season. 10 years ago when it got the 6th inning, it was over…..
