Recorded more than 50 years ago! I've never seen anyone NOT be impressed with it. Two talented brothers killin' it!

Johnny & edgar are brother. Johny was one of the best blues blues guitar ;layer in the world. Edgar is still alive & just released a terrific album that is a tribute to johnny. ☮️💟💟💟

JOHNNY and EDGAR WINTERS TWO ALBINO BROTHERS BORN IN BEAUMONT, TEXAS....ABOUT 60 MILES EAST OF HOUSTON. LIVED THEIR LIVES IN HOUSTON, TX. JOHNNY...THE GUITARIST DIED IN 2014. BEING ALBINO THEY COULD NOT GO OUT AND PLAY IN THE SUN AS KIDS...SO THEY LEARNED TO PLAY INSTRUMENTS. THEY ARE BOTH IN THE BLUES HALL OF FAME. I LIVE IN HOUSTON AND HAVE BEEN A BIG FAN SINCE WAY BACK. THEY WERE PLAYING IN A BAIT CAMP AT 9 YEARS OF AGE. AND BY THE AGE OF 18 WERE PLAYING ALL THE BLUES CLUBS IN THE DEEP SOUTH AND ALSO IN NEW YORK CITY TOO. TALENTED GUYS TO SAY THE LEAST. OH LOVED YOUR REACTION TOO. BEEN SUGGESTING MANY REACTORS TO REACT TO THIS SONG FOR AWHILE BUT ONLY A FEW HAVE DONE IT. THANKS FOR THE REACTION AGAIN. YOU ARE A KOOL CHICK AND I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW!!!

Saw Johnny and Edgar in Baton Rouge back in the early 70's. Cost $2.50 to get in. Times have changed.

Imagine.. 50 years old. Talent like this doesn't exist today. No one wants to put in all the hard work and practice it takes to become this proficient. Additionally, record companies want simple, mindless "music" to sell to the masses.

Individually they are exceptional, but together the brothers are a force of nature.

Free form jamming. The bass player is Tommy Shannon who later was part of double trouble, Stevie Ray Vaughn's band. He must have learned about organized chaos from the Winters brother's.

This is both Johnny and Edgar Winter. Two brothers from Texas. As you can see, they are both "Albinos." Very light skin, and very thin Blonde hair. If they are in the sun more than a few minutes, it could be dangerous for them. Johnny is recognized as one of the top 3 guitar players ever, and Edgar is just as talented. He sings, plays saxophone, keyboards, drums etc. I think Johnny is the oldest, and he died a few years ago. These Blues Brothers were so damn good.
Thanks

Rock blues freaks from the 70's. They were musical monsters with passion!

I have always loved how this song shows the push and pull you feel of both love and hate when you come from somewhere difficult. He wants to dynamite it but build something better right there in Tobacco Road. It's not simple....not everyone gets it. "I despise you cause you're filthy but I love you cause you're home."

Welcome again, to the genius world of the Winter brothers.

As a guitarist I always thought Johnny Winter was THE dude... as a young boy I used to look at Johnny's pics and posters and idolise him... but then when you see Edgar Winter on this video you know the man has Blues running through his veins... he slays the sax and keys and when he sings he totally tells you his story, your story, my story... he reminds you you're not a victim... you're a fighter... thank you for sharing this vids... love from Perth, Western Australia...

This song was a true depiction of life, written about Tobacco Road, in Durham, North Carolina. "Tobacco Road" is a blues song written and first recorded by John D. Loudermilk, in December 1959 and released in 1960. This song became a hit for The Nashville Teens in 1964 and has since become a standard across several musical genres. The Winter Brothers and band, brought authenticity, dynamic emotion, feeling and Real Soul to this well written song. This performance is historic, meaningful and will never be equaled. This is "Musical Magic" of the finest caliber. I love watching your reaction and hearing you comment. This performance, clearly stirred your heart and soul (as it should). White or Black, we're all one big family, and those of us, with any sense at all, know that.

The Winter's Brothers are legendary. I've seen Edgar live a few times. Love his growl. This one's a classic.
