At 67 years old and I am still listening to rock and roll. I miss the guitar and drum solos. I miss the old days with musicians stretching what their instruments were capable of.

From the first time I heard him live in '69, I never could understand why he never received the recognition he deserved! Saw him about half a dozen times up to the early '90s. Edgar was multitalented, but Johnny drew the the serious fans to his shows! RIP Johnny. The world is a very different place without you!

I love the way Johnny sings, too. No one ever mentions his cool intonation with his vocals. He’s Splendid!!

This music will forever triumph over the fake electronics of music today. There's a lot of young talent out there that knows this.

Saw Edgar Winter at the Cincinnati Gardens in the 70’s. About haflfway through the show Edgar stepped up to the microphone and said we have a little surprise for you all. Stepped back held out his arm and Johnny came on stage shredding his guitar. Fading memory sucks getting old

I am glad that Clapton got Winter onto the Crossroads Blues Festival before Winter passed away. Some of the other players there were awe-struck.

This man is in my top five Guitarists of all time. Not just speed & accuracy of play, but Heart as well. Johnny Winter is the definition of rhythmic blues. FREE
