HomePod Mini - FIVE MORE HIDDEN FEATURES!

Following the success of my last video, I bring you five more hidden features of the HomePod Mini which almost all users haven't heard of!
This video is a must watch if you're a relatively new HomePod Mini owner looking to get the most out of your new device!

However, because of the way the HomePod Mini is designed, there is no clear interface to tell you all of its features. It's left for you, the user, to work these features out for yourself.

In this latest video, I highlight five more hidden features of the HomePod Mini for you to enjoy!

If you learn something new from this video, let me know in the COMMENTs. Also, please consider giving this video a LIKE, and maybe even SHARE it with a friend who is lucky enough to own a HomePod Mini.

Special Thanks:

I want to thank all of my subscribers for their patience during the gap between this video and my last one some three weeks ago. COVID-19 is a very real and dangerous virus, which completely took me off my feet for several weeks, despite being young and physically fit and healthy.

Please do not underestimate it.

Follow the guidance of your local jurisdiction, abide social distancing rules, wash and sterilise your hands regularly and wear a mask when appropriate!

I followed all of these rules and it wasn't enough to spare me from contracting the virus, but these precautions do significantly reduce the risk of transmission.

I didn't know about muting Siri or using the palm to mute. I really wanted to be able to mute Siri so this has been great

I did not know about palm-to-mite on the HomePod. Thanks! I use this all the time on my Apple Watch, so it will be a natural instinct I can port over to the HomePods dotting my house.

I knew it could do several different timers at once but I didn’t know I could name them. That will come in handy. The palm mute is another one I didn’t know about. I found out also one day that I had asked Siri to play a song and to set the volume to 100%. She actually replied and asked if I was sure because it would be loud. I changed it to 75% and it started playing. That’s one thing I wish it could do more often. Maybe they could set up a delay so that it would be more conversational. For instance, when my alarm goes off in the morning and then I shut it off and doze off to sleep, when I wake up I ask Siri what time it is. Then I ask what the weather forecast is and then start playing some music. As it is now, I have to say Hey Siri for every question I am asking. If it had a bit of a delay before shutting off I could ask continuous questions in more of a conversational manner without saying Hey Siri multiple times.

Continuing my post from earlier; I found that when I ask Siri to set a timer, it will only announce that the timer is finished on the HomePod Mini that I requested it on. Can it announce it on every Mini in the whole house? I have them set to play music requests on every Mini that I have at the same time so I think there should be a way. Maybe I have to tell it to announce it on all of them when I request a timer to be set but there should be a way in settings.

Yep, was aware of all 5. I don’t see a difference between palming and a simple touch; both muting the playing.
This said, sure as hell not going to downvote; upvoting ensures your video gets to be seen and teach those who were not aware of these useful tips. Cheers.
