1. When ETH was going to play the final, the new structure at the club was just comming together and they had to decide if they should keep ETH or bring someone new in for the direction forward. When the desicion was made after talking to ETH, they decided to keep him because they belive in his suitability for the job. I think considering the options is just a normal thing to do when a new structure is in place. They had to be clear about having the right manager to do the job. I don't think it's ever been about the results, that's created by the media.

2. Ratcliffe is not the one to fire ETH if that even is on the table at all. He is the owner, not the admin at the club. The new structure is there to make the right desision because they have the competance to do so.

3. I don't think ETH is even close to get fired. It takes time to rebuild and the new structure understands that, unlike the former who fired every manager after 3 years, leaving a frankenstein team to a new manager with yet another philosophy, which obviously didn't work. The pressure around ETH is created by the media, they know it can put pressure on the clubs to sack their managers so that they can get headlines and earn money. It's that simple.

They will, but Ratcliffe gave them permission not to. Strange? It's called giving the board cover to do whatever they feel is needed. Ratcliffe doesn't fire people, he has someone else do it.

Yes they will!
People have no vision, there are lots of reasons, many to EtH's benefit too. But I'll mention just one for now, a big one, alongside the rightly mentioned cost of sacking - ideally RVN would get the opportunity to be the manager, but INEOS can't do that as if it does not come off it gives license for short sighed people to criticise them even more than they are ALREADY doing! So if they are not happy with EtH come approx February, by which time they will have a better idea of everything, then they can bring RVD as interim but with a view to as a trial period for the actual post

They are spewing nonsense. Here are the facts...Ineos did an assessment of managerial talent available and decided that ETH is the best available. Hence they extended his contract, recruited talent that should blossom under him and had the new leadership team affirm their support of the decision to retain ETH. The Villa result is important but not a decider. The result at the end of the season is the decider.
