Thank you for sharing this presentation. I am currently in a college class which uses a lot of what you describe to teach adult learners who are not mathematicians, but are required to learn challenging math concepts to earn their higher education degree. I realize your presentation is for K-12 environments. However, it is helpful in many diverse learning environments. This includes untraditional adult student courses where students may not have participated in a math class in many years but strive for a higher education degree. I also appreciated your "gate opener" statement. Gates are being opened for many diverse populations. Thank you for your contributions.
