Vancouver Island is a nature lover's heaven. Pristine beaches, rugged coastline, lush rainforests, whale watching, amazing wildlife are some of the few things Vancouver Island offers.

In this Vancouver Island travel vlog I will show you how I spent 4 days on Vancouver Island and take you along with me to see some underrated places on the island that are local-kept secrets and away from the usual tourist traps like Tofino or Ucluelet. Although both Tofino and Ucluelet are popular for the right reasons, (insert whale watching & pacific rim national park), central Vancouver Island is equally beautiful!

And these are the places I visited:

1. Elk Falls Provincial Park: Explore the stunning waterfall, go hiking, or simply relax in the scenic surroundings of Elk Falls Provincial Park. This park is an outdoor enthusiast's dream come true.

2. Upper Campbell Lake: If you're looking for a peaceful and serene place to unwind, Upper Campbell Lake is the perfect spot. Surrounded by mountains, it's the ideal location to go fishing, kayaking or just enjoy the scenery.

3. Campbell River: Known as the Salmon Capital of the World, Campbell River is a must-visit for any angler. However, the city also has plenty of attractions for non-fishers, such as hiking trails, restaurants, and shopping.

4. Englishman River Falls: This enchanting waterfall surrounded by lush forests is a perfect spot for nature lovers. The area features a series of trails, perfect for a day of hiking, picnicking, or even swimming in the summer months.

5. Cameron Lake: A crystal-clear lake with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, Cameron Lake is a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike. Relax on the beach, or go for a swim or paddleboarding in the calm waters.

6. Cathedral Grove: Take a stroll through the ancient forest of Cathedral Grove, where you'll be awed by towering trees that are over 800 years old. It's a must-visit spot for anyone who loves nature.

7. Hole in The Wall: This natural rock formation is a must-see on your visit to Vancouver Island. You can access it by taking a short hike and then climbing over some rocks. Be sure to bring your camera, as the view is spectacular.

8. Lupin Falls: This hidden gem is worth the effort to get there. Located in the remote backcountry, Lupin Falls cascades down a cliff face in a stunning display of nature's beauty.

9. Myra Falls: Another hidden gem, Myra Falls is located in Strathcona Provincial Park. This spectacular waterfall is the perfect spot to take a dip on a hot summer day.

10. Buttle Lake: Surrounded by majestic mountains, Buttle Lake is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. It's the perfect spot to go kayaking, canoeing or even water skiing.

Number 8,9,10, are in Strathcona Provincial Park and fall on the same route, one after the other.

Thanks for the video. Campbell River is close to my heart as I lived there in my teens. I'll be visiting in May. I'll be visiting family and friends. I think I will even be going fishing with a friend of mine. My favourite places to visit are Elk Falls and Discovery Pier. I am getting super excited as the days get closer to flying out from Calgary to Vancouver. I love the ferry ride over from Vancouver to Victoria. It is a lot of fun taking the ferry over to the Island.

Vancouver island is beautiful. However only one problem. By some misfortune if you have to go to mainland middle of the night, not too many options are available. That is one of the reason I never liked to live in an island big or small. generally job options are also limited.😅
