All I needed to know in such a small time. Keep it short and simple. Loved it!

Man, I watched a two hour long video earlier to try to learn this and still didn't get it. That formula makes it so easy. Thank you!!

Short simple easy to read and presented in a way where mental image comes before understanding. This is amazing

No examples??!!! again another video by someone who already knows this all and to the creator of this video I like to say: Per definition when you know something, you think it is simple. That is where explaining goes wrong. You needs lots of emphatic skills to explain something. It has almost nothing to do with the knowledge you have. Sending is easy. Knowing if you send something that a receiver can understand is a whole other story.

but why? why use module instead of pitch? pitch is so much easier to visualize if the purpose is to get a sense of the size of the teeth... I remember back in college our professor was complaining about the use of module that it was just a weird tradition like how electrons have negative charges.

Nicely explained. Keep posting such videos.

Handy calculations are good. Handy diagrams are better. A *simple* graph / illustration synchronized with the explanation is best. This way the brain receives the information via two different channels which makes memorizing MUCH easier (the human brain is versatile but lazy).

Hi, I'm trying to calculate the module of a gear in order to cut a larger gear for it to mesh with. The existing gear is a 9 tooth pinion with a tooth tip diameter of 1 inch. The existing gear is the drive gear on a starter motor and I don't know how I can calculate the pitch diameter other than to do a very rough estimate. To complicate matters I suspect, given its purpose the gear might have a modified profile with an extended addendum. I've cut standard gears on my milling machine using my indexing head and am trying to make this gear for a man who is terminally ill so time is critical. Any help of advice would be gratefully received. Thank you.

But how do I get the module out of the helical gear?

I have to design a whole new rack and pinion arrangement.
Can u guide me in steps with how to design it and what should i assume at beginning?

Hi! what are the pro's and cons of gears with a higher modulus?

All well and good, but you don't explain how to determine pitch diameter etc
