I have deemed this my “weekend song”. My husband and I blast this on our way to date night on Fridays. We are 26 and 30 so unfortunately we missed out on the 80’s. But I’m thankful for uploads like this!

The 80's was the coolest decade to be a teenager. Long live the 80's!

This club was called Stratus which was over in the eastern part of San Diego in the Spring Valley area and there was actually an almost identical version of this club in El Paso, TX in the same years which was called Lost Iguana.. My older sister went to both of these places because we had family in both cities... She said Lost Iguana was a little darker vibe with more early Cult and Ministry playing.

I was 12 in 1980.
My HS friends and I went to *THIS* very dance club, "Stratus"- every Saturday night. I know/recognize most all these beautiful people and yes, have seen myself and friends in some of these videos. What a time to be alive.
I have so many vivid memories because everything we did growing up in those days was literally in the moment.
Zero "modern day distractions"- we really lived life to the fullest - full of imagination and a zest for life.
I'm now a 55 year old girl who still relishes alll this phenomenal music and the memories

fantastic times, we were lost in the music and care free, no mobile phone distraction, awesome fashion and hairstyles, music first class ..just brilliant so lucky to have enjoyed these colourful days and we could joke happily and people would laugh, no fear, FREEDOM!!!!
