The word ofGod given to us by of the prophet Jeremaiah in ch. 24 are so encouraging and fill us with hope. Lord we hope to always be like the good figs so that You will give us hearts to know You, so that we will be Your people and that we wil lalways love you with our whole being.

Our sufferings are not taken away. It is for us to lean and depend on God in our sufferings as HE is our only Hope. Let us pray that we are blessed with a heart that thirsts for our Lord Jesus and we realise HE is our LORD and WE are HIS PEOPLE.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9
4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord;[a] 5 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. 6 And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; 7 and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Let these words be written in our HEARTS and let us be faithful and obedient to our LORD to pass our catholic faith to our families and children.

As you mentioned sufferings teaches us to hope in the Lord. Suffering can either bring us close to him or take us away from him...the choice is ours. People ...the good figs ...goes into exile and suffers ...but God already has a plan for them and His Mercy will come upon them in the end. But the people who were the bad figs must have rejoiced and mocked at the people going into exile thinking curse had come upon the exiled good figs. But it's going to be the other way...the judgement is going to come upon the people who are the bad figs. Thank you Father Warner .Hope you had a well rested weekend. Happy Feast to you too❤
