I just recently found out about webricks. Great way to build retired sets that just aren’t worth paying an arm and a leg. Love the carrot top wig.

Oh yeah, everyone should make this switch. Lego prices are insane, and they keep getting worse because people keep buying their over priced products. Thanks for doing the research for us, I was wanting to find a cheaper alternative. You are my hero.

Nice to see you do a review for webrick. I have built a couple mocs using there parts and I am really impressed so far with everything about them. Even there customer service has been amazing. Also they offer parts in colors that Lego up to this point does not. And since I am building mocs for my city with no intention of selling them I am more than happy to do them at the most cost-effective way possible.

I envy your highly organizaed building workshop. I'd totally do that but I have expensive hobbies that take priority.😢

If I need large quantities of things like tiles, bushes etc I always get a non-Lego version. A lot of my favourite sets are by other brands anyway so I've already lost any chance of having a Lego-only city a long time ago.

Thank You!

This is a long time coming, betting we’re going too see more of videos like this because of Lego prices. Glad you made this video….

I’ve been going with USABLOCKS; especially, with the modulars.

Edit: Modulars would be good thing for you to compare side by side.

It's just purity people that care I have some unofficial Legos. When I build the custom EV Hummer it will have non Lego and Lego as I purchased a cheap test set that's not Lego as a starter for doing the body it will be 90-95% official Lego though.

Be warned that webrick uses different brands. The expensive one is Gobricks which has high quality but they stopped delivering it weeks ago. They also provided a nice page "Gobricks Unique - All Bricks & Pieces" which is not available anymore. Currently you can only get "default" brand(s) and this is a wild mix of brands, some are well known brands of medium quality, some are unmarked ( no tool numbers imprinted anywhere) and of unknown origin. As you mentioned Bluebrixx: their "Bluebrixx Special"-line and the "part packs" mainly use bricks from Qunlong. There "Bluebrixx Pro"-line is mostly provided by Xingbao using Xingbao bricks. Lately some sets from both lines also used Gobricks, e.g. the latest versions of "Castle Blaustein" and "Castle Bärenfels".

I ordered all the parts for a train moc from Webrick. All were great...except 1. It looked fine but caused a big problem. The part was the #2 technic angle connector. The moc had a coupling bar over the train wheels so they would all spin in unison. The connectors allowed the axle to go in just about 1mm too far. Over the the length of the bar there were several connectors. This meant that the spacing in the bar (where the technic pins insert) was too tight and instead of allowing the wheels to spin in unison, it just made them lock up. Replacing the connectors with Lego ones made the problem go away. Still happy with the purchase.

That said...Webrick is NOT a manufacturer. They are a seller who sources their parts from numerous manufacturers, always trying to find the best part. They do ship quickly and the price is great.

I'm a Lego purist myself, but recently have started to notice a little company called Fun Whole. I like the design of their sets. Does anyone know about their quality?

It really is expensive to buy genuine Lego. And although I still primarily use Lego products, for certain pieces like wood grain tiles and certain plant pieces (especially in hard to find colors) I have purchased some fake Lego, or Flego as some like to call it. Never any issues with it.

Webrick make nothing, they just rebag other brands, so the quality and colour is never the same, the bush for example you could get 4 different manufacturers “tan” all differ.
