In this video we highlight the core hardware components of our 3-node vSAN sandbox, and show the process of setting up the vSAN datastore. From there we enable deduplication and compression for vSAN. Lastly we take a look at the iSCSI datastore and vSAN capacity view to ensure all is well.

HOW much RAM did your vSAN cluster use? pretty much it will take all your RAM .

vSAN SUCKS - they don't tell you vSAN uses minimal 7GB RAM and 10% of CPU constantly. Also required dedicated SSD/NVME and HD if going hybrid, else all SSD.
OK if you have HUGE RAM in server - I had 3 x 32GB RAM in my 3 servers and vSAN took 33GB RAM (total) across all 3 servers.
