makes it less worth when every video on Crypto today explicitly says it is the "one you don't want to miss".

There isn’t a clearer, more balanced channel re Cypto than Coin Bureau. Always clearly explained and both sides of the argument noted

Actually, it is not always true that miners will stop mining when they are losing money due to halving. Reason being is that they got stuck with the hardware depreciation and contracted warehouse expenses, so even when they are losing money, they will need to continue the operation to lose less money. Eventually, when BTC price starts to rally, they will become profitable again.

Bitcoin is scarce; I’m not worried. Because eventually it will go up; I’m not going anywhere and will DCA rain or shine.

there is a lot of merit to your points guy but there is one relatively new dynamic that could have knock on affects particularly with altcoin markets and that is the meme craze. Its already sucking in billions in liquidity and at the current rate it would not surprise me if the entire memecoin market could approach a trillion dollars by the end of this bull run. money that probably would have ended up partly in bitcoin but mostly in altcoins. food for thought.

Now Bitcoin takes twice as much electricity, making it more centralized, and easier to shut down.

I love it when crypto crashes and then goes back up to where it was and then people celebrate like something amazing just happened.

I'm looking for some investing advice. I never seem to be able to discern patterns, alternatives always work against me, and I can't make good use of scanners. I'm seeking for a simple, reproducible passive income approach that can supplement and eventually replace my wage income.

Supply INCREASE (i.e. inflation) is reduced by halving, not TOTAL supply. Supply is the number of coins on sale at any given price. Price will go up if there are more funds available to buy than there are coins available for sale.

Well if its that expensive to mine it due to power etc then its a ridiculous ideology in the first place

I own various crypto including a bit of BTC but do see a huge ponzi trap!

Another top tier plug! These are so creative, and pure gold (except for the weather one, lol, that one's kinda boring).

"a 50% reduction in supply should, in theory, result in a doubling of the bitcoin price". Why do smart people equate a 50% reduction in rate of issuance with a 50% reduction in supply? They're not the same thing. In fact, this is why the halving has less of an effect each time because the rate of issuance become a smaller and smaller portion of the total supply over time. I'm not really that smart, so I'm not trying to call anyone out. I figure that there must be something I'm missing, some rationale I dont' know about.
