In his full opening statement, Michael Cohen, ex-personal attorney to President Donald Trump, told a House committee that despite doubts about his credibility, he had come "to offer the American people what I know about President Trump." He said he was ashamed of his work "concealing Mr. Trump’s illicit acts rather than listening to my own conscience," and claimed that Trump "knew that Roger Stone was talking with Julian Assange about a WikiLeaks drop of Democratic National Committee emails."
