It's about time a representative of high morals and values stood up to say what so many of us are thinking and feeling. How much longer can America be the shining city on the hill if we don't stand up against hate, division and violence. This kind of behavior is the hope and desire of those who would cause someone who is different from them to be called wrong. Different is not wrong. Different is not other. Different is to be celebrated, understood, be tolerant of.... When did we as a people decide who is right and who is wrong? This is impossible because every individual is different. Every situation is different. None of us should be able to cast out of society to be harassed, ridiculed, catagorized or excluded because they are different.
Congratulations to this Senator who believes in her convictions and has the integrity to state them publicly and defend them against the vile and vulgar attacks coming from ignorant people who are full of hate and rage.

I am a Michigander. I do not live in Ms. McMorrow's district, but I have much pride in the fact that she is a Michigan Senator with great courage and conviction.
