I’ve played road hockey and ball hockey growing up for about 5 years on and off, and then by grade 11 in high school I started to ice skate and practice for 4-5 months of the year here in Calgary Canada. Now I’m 23 and can do all cross overs and stop each side thanks to watching videos like this and putting in hard work and practice each year in winter. Sometimes I practice ball hockey in summers too. Point is I’ve never had a coach and wish I did these type of videos are life savers for guys like me who are learning a bit later than most. Thanks 🙏🏻

I don’t know how to ice skate cause in my country we don’t do that but my bf loves hockey and I went to a hockey game last weekend for the first time. So much fun I’d love to learn to ice skate (:

I love these turns, its so fun to do especially when i get myself close to the wall on purpose and turn away

Instead of stopping with both feet, a punch turn is usually better, it is using the outside edge of your inside fit when turning and punching it forward as you turn. So 1 fit just turns and the other foot kind of pushes into the ice
