More often than not, hype and major video game releases go hand in hand. Whether it's because of the developer that's making a game, the franchise a game belongs to, or how promising a game has looked in the lead up to its launch, there are some releases that we just can't help but be excited for.

Many live up to those expectations, and live on in our memories for years to come, but unfortunately, there have been more than a few in recent memory that have fallen woefully short. Here, we're going to talk about a few such games.

Homefront: The Revolution is not a bad game at all. The gunplay is fun as hell, the story is pretty good and the game looks good. Shame about the glitches. I ran into one right at the end of the game, which made me unavailable to finish it. But damn, did I have a great time up until then! Loved it👍🏻

The Order was not a “complete disaster” it’s only glaring issue is how short it was. It was an extremely well made and polished game. To say otherwise is complete nonsense.

Loved, honestly loved Homefront: The Revolution. I played quite a while after release though, but played it three times over a few years.

People hate on Cyberpunk2077, yet forget that the community *caused* the over inflated hype and subsequent anger over the state of the game. Happened with Anthem, BattleFront 2 etc.

I cant believe you put The Order in this list. I dare you to revisit it @GamingBolt. You'll eat your words..very few games since it's release have come close. Its shooting mechanics are the best in the business. And the shotgun? The best in history. Underrated is a gross understatement

avengers had a really good campaign but the fact that you could only play it once and the devs lying pre-launch that it could be replayed, really hurt the game. and cyberpunk is pretty good now, with no more issues than games like skyrim.
