We know from Axcpona how great the upcoming Aspen FR5 stand mount speakers are in a large room, but a smaller room?

I’m hoping PS Audio will send a pair of FR5s to A British Audiophile for review

I adore these FR5s and completely agree that the contrasted white on black looks really cool.

Please send a pair over to Erin at Erin's Audio Corner to have a look.

Adrian at Audio Excellence Canada is very impressed. Congratulations to Chris and Paul. You seem to have delivered excellent value for money at a relatively affordable price point.

The FR5's look really classy, high-end & amazing... I reckon they are going to be right @ the top of the smaller Bookshelf standmount Speaker List of "10 x Best Choices"... Can't wait for them to be widely available outside of N. America!! great job, Paul & the rest of your team of specialists & designers. Very Best Wishes to you, Paul & your family from a Scotsman - also called, Paul, in Japan (been here 27 yrs. >>>)

I must say. It's looks stunning with white grill, and white stand for the speaker.

I like the LEGO penguin vibe of the black and white combo.

hi a great idea is to think to a bass box per channel to make the combination able to provide high spls low distortion across the full range I really do not know why the solution sats plus subs is not more popular The bass will be mechanically decoupled from the mids and highs

Would love to see some PS Audio speakers at the Capital Audiofest but they never seem to make it that far east.

I'd love to have a pair of FR10s up front and a pair of FR5s in the back of the living room space I have but the satin black or plain white won't work with me nor the family... Not a fan of those types of finishes but I'm really hoping that someday maybe there will be a special order option.. until then I'll have to wait.

I was looking to get a pair of FR5s for my office for studio monitoring and play. That said I would love a version with a nice class D amp built in!

"Look, here's the deal." You're starting to sound like our Prez, and you even look like him a little. 😊

The black FR5s with white grill and stands look great. You could tag it as The Tuxedo option. How's that for an idea?

The dealers in my country have all the PS audio electronic stuff, but for some reason I don’t know why, they refrain from the Aspen speakers.

Hi Paul, how do the FR5 compare to the KEF LS50 meta. Since many people know these and you have them, it may give us without the opportunity to listen to the FR5 a little bit of insight.

What I don't get when people talk about small speakers and small rooms is low end extension. It's no secret that small speakers can't reproduce sub bass, and a small room can't magically add the sub bass to the system. There are standing waves, but when you reduce room space the frequency of a potential standing wave goes up and not down. So is everybody agreeing that if you have a small room you should forget about the low end?

Not on topic, but possibly very relative. I am a guitar player and have slowly come to see the light on the use of Impulse Responses. In the home studio they are wonderful.
When does this technology enter the audiophile world? Some IR's are quite good.
