My answer is we live inside an immense mystery we can never fully understand. It takes humility to accept this.
Possibly the unfolding of the universe has no purpose but within the context of our shared humanity somethings are of enormous significance.
As a finite human being my highest aspiration is human happiness and flourishing in harmony with all there is.

My question is why after 60 years of great new discoveries in Astronomy and Astrobiology
we don't have an
"updated" Drake Equation about intelligent life in our Galaxy.


And is not only about intelligent life, I think we need more than one equations
to answer about the possibility of existence any type of alien life in our Galaxy, such:


"Is there any other advanced civilization ?",
"Is there any other intelligent life ?",
"Is there any other complex but not intelligent life ?",
"Is there any other simple life or bacteria?",
"Is there any other planet with breathable air and running water but without life ?".
