The Grand Seiko Spring Drive Automatic SLGA009 White Birch is encased in 40 mm of stainless steel surrounding a white birch dial on a stainless steel bracelet. Features of this Grand Seiko Spring Drive Automatic include 120-hour power reserve, power reserve indicator, date, hours, minutes, seconds, and 100-meter water resistance. This Grand Seiko watch also measures 12.1 mm in thickness and 47.5 mm from lug-to-lug.

I recently bought a Night Birch HiBeat while on vacation in Hawaii. I preferred titanium over steel and darker dial. Looks chocolate in color in different lighting and black in others. I barely can tell I'm wearing it's that light. I already own 2 Spring Drives in the 600m Diver and a GS GMT so I went with Hi Beat. Verry happy with it!

Attention: I got a GS Spring Drive SBEG225 yesterday. Today it gave me the scare while I was on my MacBook Air laptop. It stopped!
Took me a while to realize that the speakers on both sides of the keyboard have strong magnetic fields.
Strong enough to stop the watch! I will not wear this watch while on my laptop any longer.

I miss the PR indicator on the front. Know its a minority opinion but it is part of GS' design vocabulary like the cyclops and the HE valve on those other brands

It's an evolution on the Snowflake, everything is better here -- the bracelet is thicker and less flimsy, clasp is streamlined -- most importantly the movement is dead accurate, I can't detect an actual timing deviation above 100 microseconds from this piece measuring it daily after a whole month.

Once GS gets their hardware up to spec with Rolex /Omega they’ll be right there with the top of the class. That accuracy is outstanding.

Movement is lacking vs the HB, but I much prefer the whiter dial here.
