I personally can't get over him wanting the ceremony in Paris and then the reception in Birmingham. I had my marriage locally and the reception a few minutes walk away. That was stressful enough. I can't imagine adding two international flights into the mix as well. It sounds hellish. You'd be desperate for the day to end.
