I first heard this piece on cassette in the days of the Sony Walkman - I was travelling by bus from London to Athens during Winter (a hazardous journey) - we were passing through the border of Italy and Switzerland and the vision through the window of morning sunshine dancing on the icicles hanging from the roofs of the houses simply dazzled - that memory has stayed with me ever since.

I have two pieces that stirs my soul. Beethoven’s 9th and Pacabels Canon in D minor. To watch these unbelievable musicians play the 9th is totally amazing. Hats off to a great performance.
